BlogAWS Vs. Azure from a .NET Dev perspective

I've had the opportunity to play around with AWS and Azure during some time off and while I like both, Azure was the clear winner for my use cases.

I am mostly a .NET developer (I've dabbled in other stacks) and the biggest reason I prefer Azure is it just works, so many times I found myself watching a 10 minute video on how to drill down into 5 different menus to setup one piece of your app. In Azure everything seemed much more intuitive and it "just worked". When speaking to a former colleague about the relative ease of Azure he said "Yeah it's like you don't need a Phd to use it".

Now Azure isn't perfect, I really wish they both had better opportunities to learn it in a live environment. The test applications I ran on both cost me about $15 / month after burning through the free tier minutes that you are allocated.

My journey with both of these technologies has just begun and I absolutely could have a change of heart in the future but for now my focus will be on Azure.
